Following an information received by Paris Saint-Germain on August 17 regarding the condition of the Parc des Princes pitch, the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) conducted, early on August 19, an inspection by a specialized bureau and a delegate to thoroughly examine the playing field.

After this inspection, it was noted that the current state of the pitch did not allow for the safety of the players to be guaranteed. The Competition Commission therefore decided that the match could not be held at the Parc des Princes. After evaluating the Paris Saint-Germain's inability to organize the match in a secondary venue, the LFP received assurances from the Stade Rennais that they could organize the match for the first round, scheduled for Sunday, August 23 at 20:45.

The Competition Commission thus decided to reverse the match, which will now take place at the Roazhon Park on Sunday, August 23 at 20:45. The LFP thanks the Stade Rennais, the city of Rennes, and the Ille-et-Vilaine Prefecture for making the match possible.

This decision was taken to ensure the safety of players and spectators and to guarantee a quality match.
