Paris Saint-Germain has finally agreed to transfer Maghnes Akliouche from AS Monaco for around €50 million. The player, who was courted by several clubs over the past two years, is set to join Paris Saint-Germain as a versatile midfielder in search of a regular place.
The pursuit of Akliouche by Paris has spanned multiple seasons and involved numerous offers that were rejected by AS Monaco. From 2024 until now, the negotiations have been complex with four offers of €30 million, €35 million, €45 million, and a final offer of €45 million plus a bonus all being turned down. Finally, in July, AS Monaco agreed to sell Akliouche for €50 million.

Akliouche's profile is versatile and adaptable, making him an ideal fit for Paris Saint-Germain under coach Luis Enrique. His ability to play in multiple positions has been a key factor in his appeal to the club. He contributed significantly during the recent Champions League round of 16 against Paris Saint-Germain, scoring one goal and providing an assist over both legs of the match.
