Paris Saint-Germain has not abandoned the idea of becoming the owner of Parc des Princes. The club from the French capital is preparing a major project to transform its historic stadium. Discussions have resumed with the Paris city hall, and a steering committee will meet on June 25 to explore various possibilities. The priority for Paris Saint-Germain remains the purchase of the stadium, which is essential to support the growth of the club, a two-time European champion. The Parisian leaders also wish to increase the capacity of Parc des Princes to around 60,000 seats, up from just over 48,000 currently. This expansion project is deemed crucial for the club's future development. In addition to the stadium expansion, Paris Saint-Germain is considering creating a true ecosystem around the Parc by acquiring several neighboring infrastructures, such as shops and the Geo André sports complex. This would allow for the creation of a neighborhood largely dedicated to the club. Although the option of a new stadium in Massy or Poissy remains on the table, the recent rapprochement with the Paris municipality suggests concrete progress in the Parc des Princes project.
